This is a very effective piece suitable for community choirs and choral societies alike. My choir, who also commissioned it, really liked learning and performing it. The mix of known melodies interwoven with other musical material makes the piece instantly accessible for the audience and the singers, too. Needless to say, the audience really loved it, too.
I can also very much recommend getting in touch with Chris Hutchings, the composer, if you're interested in commissioning a piece. Working with him was a fantastic experience, he was absolutely reliable and worked excellently towards the brief we gave him.
