About the Score

This piece was written for a sophomore choir at a high school where I used to teach. It is very accessible. The text came out of a poetry contest within the choir. Students submitted poems over the period of a couple of months. We then took a class period to study and then vote on their favorite. "A Life of Love" text was written by Jacob Hardin, a sophomore tenor in that choir. It tells a sad, but beautiful story and I have found that high school students really grasp on to the text of this piece.
