This Castilian carol was one of two of my mother’s favorite carols while she was growing up in Chile. I lovingly arranged this carol for her, and in honor of my Latino heritage. This carol portrays the sad, solemn procession of the Virgin through the shadowy hills, with only the Infant Jesus’s hand to hold hers.
