About the Score

This composition was commissioned by the Senatobia United Methodist Church in honor of Mrs. Katherine Gabbert. Mrs. Gabbert has graced the organ bench at that church for 75 years… and counting. I could think of no greater text for this monumental commission that from Matthew 25:23: “His Lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”
